Sajoufort: draft World Cup legends and win the 2026 World Cup
Sajoufort is a free World Cup squad-drafting game. You open booster packs of historic national-team squads from the 1990 to 2026 World Cups, draft your own starting eleven and a substitutes bench, choose a legendary coach, and then play the official 48-team 2026 World Cup format against historic nations, watched as an animated 2D match simulation. It is a Progressive Web App: it installs to your home screen, plays fully offline for solo games, needs no account, and is free. Sajoufort is an unofficial fan game, not affiliated with FIFA, France Football or any federation, club or player. It uses player names, national flags and kit colours only, never photographs.
How to play
Every run follows the same shape. First you tear a formation pack and keep one of three shapes, which sets the eleven slots you fill. Then you draft: you open packs of real historic World Cup squads and place players into your formation, where positions are strict, so an attacker cannot fill a defensive slot. A few rerolls let you redraw a pack you do not want. Players from the same squad, the same country, the same club or who both won the Ballon d'Or form chemistry links that strengthen your team. Once your eleven, bench and coach are set, you play the full 2026 World Cup: twelve groups of four, then a round of 32 and the knockout bracket to the final, with the option to make substitutions at half time. Because the same seed always produces the same packs and the same results, the game is fully deterministic, so skill in drafting and reading a match is what carries you through.

The first 48-team World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, is the backdrop for the whole game. The home screen carries a live scoreboard of the real tournament and a daily prediction game, and the blog follows the stories of 2026 as they happen, from debutant nations to the golden boot race.
